Smile New Owner from Florida, USA

Hello everyone. I'm Jason. I recently came into ownership of a 2005 AP2 in Silverstone Metallic. It has 39,500 miles from two previous owners who took pretty good car of the car it seems. A few things here and there but overall, the car seems to be in pretty good shape. I have been a Japanese car and racing enthusiast since I was probably 14. I'm 38 now and finally got to join the sports car club and I'm so happy about it. I'm very much looking forward to getting to know the car and learning on the forums here. Thanks

Interior is in pretty good shape. even the seats are holding up.

Looks great!

Three "quickies" to keep in mind: (1) Be sure to use the specific, unique S2000 oil filter, (2) Check for burrs or sharp edges in the roof frame areas over the "shoulders" (for want of a better description) where they will eventually wear tears in the roof fabric, and (3) Tires and proper tire pressure will do more for the car than any combination of suspension "mods."

Thank you for all the replies and advice everyone! I haven’t gotten so far in my searching around as to if there are any central florida meet ups. Right now going thru all the tribal knowledge items about the correct oil filter, spark plugs, valve adjustments, timing chain tensioner, etc. just want to make sure its running as it should. Also working on detailing it. The paint feels completely unprotected in some areas and just got some new microfiber towels, clay and ceramic coatings in the mail which ill be applying to protect the outside. Just got done detailing the inside and conditioning the leather. Its been great so far. Very happy. I’ll be lurking in the maintenance and detailing sections of the forums now

Good to see you're backed into that parking space. Front bumper is low enough to scrape on parking curbs even at standard suspension height and without the front lower spoiler. Rear bumper is higher but still be careful. I find this car difficult to back up with the roof up too -- guess I've been spoiled by back-up cameras on my other cars.
