Default New Owner - IL AP2 GPW

Whats up guys,

Just wanted to make a quick post as I just bought my 05 GPW(81K Miles) just under a month ago. Previously owned a 05 RSX Type-S and decided to sell as I came across
a deal on the S which was too good to pass up.

Car is currently bone stock, pretty much a garage queen at this point as I drive a work vehicle everyday so I primarily take it out on the weekends. Only thing I've been able to do is wash, clay, and wax the car at this point. Not sure if I'm planning on doing bolt ons yet or leaving the car stock since most people desire the stock ones if I ever choose to sell(don't plan on it as of now). I have an itch to do a test pipe + catback on it but I'm not sure at this point. The dual N1 sounds amazing but the Q300 seems more tolerable.

Not sure if there's any local meet's, but I'd be willing to check some out just to see some other S2000's and maybe get some idea's if I chose to modify the car.

Won't let me upload the photo itself so here's a link below.

Welcome! What a beauty. Drop by the Upper Mid-West section (umw.s2ki.com) for local-to-you meets and whatnot.

Looks great! (But don't they all? )

The Invidia Q300 is not as loud as the N1 but it's hard to use the word "quieter." My Q300 system lasted less than a month before I ripped (exaggeration) it off the car due to headache inducing noise and especially drone. A buddy did the same thing at the same time. We both installed Tanabe Medalion Touring dual exhausts. The Civic guys as the high school liked the Q300 from outside the car -- but ya gotta live inside. Horrible drone between 3K and 4K rpm. Note we're running Berk 63.5mm high flow cats, not straight pipe, so that may matter.

The Medalion Touring exudes subtle power.

Hear ANY aftermarket exhaust on the car before you decide. From inside the car. We never heard the Q300 before we bought them. Second owners got a good on exhausts with about a month on them.

221bhp at the rear wheels on my car with a Gernby FlashPro road tune. Only other item is the near obligatory K&N FIPK.
