Welcome.

Check out the link in my signature.

Do have you a comparison for people that are also thinking of making the switch?

Thanks! A very useful post; looks like there's a lot to look over!

As for moving into the S2000 after an FR-S, I can say that the S2000 feels like it has more character and is more fun due in part to its engine. The extra power and ability to rev to 9000 rpm definitely makes it a unique drive. I haven't had a good chance to get a feel of the balance and handling of the S yet, but the FR-S was definitely fun in that department. Handling was precise and predictable, and steering feel was good. It sounds like the S might be a little more of a handful from previous postings (not that it's a bad thing). I'm hoping to get better acquainted at an AutoX event in Spring.

On the practicality side, though, the FR-S was a champ. I did everything from going on snowboarding trips to buying a whole set of new bedroom furniture, and I could fit it all in the back of the car. I guess that puts into perspective how I see the two - one is a fun more practical sports car, like a Miata that you could use every day, and the other is a more raw, back to basics sports car, like a Miata on steroids. I should mention that I had the automatic FR-S. It was a good transmission but I felt like it took out a lot of the fun of the car.

Thanks for the comparison. I have yet to race on at autocross, one day hopefully.
