Hey guys, Name is Jeff I just purchased an 02 Silverstone as a X-mas present to myself. Bone stock for now but looking into a few mods as time goes by. I previously have been heavily into german cars, a few VW's and a horrible experiance with a "cheap" Porsche 928. This is my first Vtec car and I must admit I'm hooked (So is the wife).

I live in Ft. Myers Florida and look forward to any meets, cruises, or track days that may come about in the area. I noticed from seeing some pics that there seems to be a gathering at the "Tail the dragon". Is this an annual thing or a one time deal?

Anyhow I feel like I'm rambling, I look forward to being an active member on the boards and contributing as much as possible.

The Dragon is an annual event, late winter/early spring, that is very popular, not only on this site but with many car and bike groups. Search around in the 'events' forum, there is plenty of info. Also, be sure to check out the S Fla regional forum. From what I've heard about FLA, one of your first mods should be seat locks. Old school 928, huh? I've always had a soft spot in my heart for those cars, especially 84-86 S models. But I've also heard it will make a soft spot in my wallet. Anyhoe, welcome to the site. MY02 is a pretty good year, just be sure to keep an eye on the oil level and, if running the stock S02s, be really careful in the wet.

 

Ohh yeah, +1 on the seat locks. It's been HORRIBLE in Miami for quite a while and apparently the thefts are making it over to SWFL now. I was in the Honda dealership and the parts guy told me they just got in 2 sets of seats for cars that'd had theirs stollen. Then I had a lady yelling at me from a minivan in traffic; I thought she was mad for my crazyazz driving, but once she got next to me she told me to watch out b/c the seats in her S had been stollen Keep it in a garage if at all possible!

 

Ok so where do I buy seat locks? I'd hate to have to kill someone for some dumb sh*t like that. I ave little tolerance for thieves.

PM Kodokan_4, he sells them. I think you have to offer some sort of proof of ownership (so the thieves can't just buy the seat locks too), but I don't think it's too involved.
