Default New Owner Uk

morning all, just thought i would introduce myself first. Im ashley from the uk, 26 and about a month ago bought my first s2000, its an 09 plate, my mum was the previous owner from new and i have now bought it off her as she has bought an slk. I absolutely love the car, and im so happy it is now mine, its a gt model so has the factory hardtop, i have ordered the ap2 front lip and i am going to order the low level spoiler for the back. This is not my first honda, when i passed my test at 17 i bought a ford fiesta 1.1 mk3, after a year or so i sold this and bought another mk3 black 1.1, i had this one for a couple of years and then bought a honda del sol 1.6 sohc, i absolutely loved it and proceeded to spend a fortune on it with the addition of bodykit, s2000 seats, stereo, wheels, suspension (tacky i know but i was younger then!).

how it started life....

i had this car for 3 years and then sold it as i was getting a bit older and wanted something a bit more 'presentable', and rather than take all the bodykit off i thought i would let someone else enjoy the car. A welsh girl bought the car off me and then 2 weeks later this happened......

I had already set my mind on getting a quicker honda, so it was the civic type r ep3 then i set my mind on, i got hunting and found the perfect one......

i had this car for around 6 months or less, it just didnt feel as special as my del sol, it was kinda boring!! and i used to see about 10 each day that were exactly the same, the engine was fantastic, but the driving position was awful, the seat was too high, the roof was even higher, and it felt like i was driving a bus, sorry to any civic owners!!

so i then decided to swap this for a jap dc5 import, this car i really liked, it ticked all the boxes, fast, great driving position, rare, i really didnt want to sell this car and if it wasnt for the oportunity of the s2000 i wouldnt have.......but how can you turn down a deal like this one. I owned the dc5 for 1 1/2 years.......

Unfortunately i havent taken any pics of the s2000 yet, you can see the back end of it in this pic tho.....

The only thing i have to say i am not a fan of is the stock radio, i have always had quite expensive alpine units in my cars, so as soon as i can afford to get a new one i will, i dont think i will change the speakers or anything, i just want a better sounding stero that will play my ipod. I was suprised with the comfort level on the s2000.......my dc5 had a fast road setup and eibach pro spirings with adjustable dampers and the s2000 is a more refined drive, i can drive over speed humps like a normal car rather than crawling over at snails pace. On the way to work this moring another s2000 went past me, an older ap1 model, but it had been lowered with wheels and exhaust, what is the comfort like on lowered springs?? is it possible to achieve the same confort level as stock but with a lower ride height? anyway, cheers for now guys and hope you enjoy the pics
