Finally pulled the trigger on a deal I couldn’t refuse. I’ve been looking for an S2k for about a year now and still can’t believe I have one parked in my garage.
I found the right one for me right here on s2ki and had it shipped from Virginia to Utah. Excited for the future and am disappointed I was only able to drive it for a couple weeks before snowfall.
Paint looks great even indoors. Push her outdoors in the sunlight for some glamor photos with maybe some mountains in the background to help tide you over until spring.
Back in the Lake Erie snow belt days I used the period November to April while my S2000 was off the road during the winter for preventive maintenance. A little bit every couple of weeks spread the tasks and expense yet allowed me to remain "bonded" with the car. Avoid the temptation to take her out on those sunny days. If Utah is like Ohio there will be salt dust all over the road (and slurry in the puddles).

Yeah I intend on doing a few things over the next 4 or so months while it’s in hibernation. I’d like to keep it factory for the most part just because it’s almost perfect as it sits and is in immaculate shape. It’s super tempting to take it out on sunny days but I most definitely won’t until the salt clears in the spring!
