New from PA
Hi everyone,
Last week, in anticipation of surgery the next day, I decided to get a sports car if all went well. All did, and I am very seriously considering a 2006+ S2000. I had a number of roadsters in the past, still ride motorcycles, but decided life is too short to not have a roadster to drive on country rides on nice days.
If anyone knows a low mileage, well kept '06+ car for sale please let me know. Also please share any other advice regarding these cars.
I called my insurance agent today and was shocked at the quoted rate. Does our group have any group discounts; or anyone know any special programs for these cars?
Also, thanks s2ki community for turning me on to Young's Auto in Philadelphia. I went over there, and met Young. Great fellow, incredible knowledgable about these cars. He was very generous with his time and provided much advice and guidance to assist me in my search.
I look forward to posting an intro to my car, when I find one.
Thanks again

The insurance is pretty insane and almost impossible to avoid. Quick story, I moved from PA to Charlotte, NC and was only driving my 97 civic at the time. I paid $100 a month in PA, went down to about $66 down here. Bought a 2006 S in March, and my insurance went from that $66, to $249. What I'm getting at is insurance is cheaper in NC, and I still pay a ton! Totally worth it though.
Hi again,
I contacted the Corvette Museum Indurance group in Bowling Green re: insurance. They do consider the S2000 collectible, and offer some great premiums with some restrictions. Works well for a second/sun day car - not got a DD.
