My names Jason and im located in RI.

I just sold a 350whp 240sx and picked up an 01 red s2000. I plan to do alot of auto x and road racing with it. I was wondering if someone that maybe does alot of autox and road racing could direct me in the right way for suspension???
Also is there anything i should look out for? i heard the diff is weak??
Any help would be great. And hope there are a few people local that have get togethers or something along those lines.

For suspension, the main shortcomings of the early S2000 are:
1) Too little front roll stiffness relative to rear. A bigger front bar wouldn't be a bad idea.

2) Too much rear toe-in with bump. A bump-steer kit should fix this.

I haven't done anything with my S's suspension yet. I ran it in Showroom Stock with COM last year, it's pretty much an overdog in SSA

 

Car is pretty good right out of the box, suspension is well-tuned. The hard-core auto-xers will ususally jump to full coil-overs. Check out the 'under the hood' and 'racing and competition' subforums for lots of info and the new england subforum for locals.
