Fell upon a deal I couldn’t pass up, so I bought my s2k in boxes! The night i picked her up Let the fun begin All the interior was removed to shave the bay Aftermarket bumpers are at the paint shop Prep for paint Got the motor back from Inline Pro in northern Va Tuck fun Preparing for first startup!
Cool project. I bought a 1966 Land Rover for $400 in my 20s. The engine was out, disassembled, with parts in boxes and milk crates in the back. I had it transported to my house and I rebuilt the engine. Bored, decked, oversized pistons, new rods, bearings, shaved head, new valves, etc. etc. It was a blast, and the motor came out great. It is hard to rebuild a motor that you did not tear down, because you have no memory about how stuff goes back together.
This whole project has been like that. Every bracket, every bolt, every hose, every harness connector. The only thing that wasn’t disassembled was the rear end and rear subframe. Got everything together, car runs great but has a high idle, cooling fan not kicking on, and I can’t find information anywhere about the EPS module connectors! Power in and power out are exactly the same connection, but i can’t find anything that has which connector goes to which spot on the module. Definitely been a learning experience!
