New S2K owner!
Just got for 22 thou out the door. 37,000 miles. So excited and want to learn drifting in this car. This car is my new love so I will take care of it very well. The first buy/mod I'm doing for this car is a dyno/tuning tool that syncs with my ipad (http://tunertools.com/proddetail.asp?prod=ST%2D425104). And also a tablet mount (http://padholdr.com/honda/ipad-holde...9-honda-s2000/), that will substitute most of the aftermarket gauges, but I already know I have to buy much of the hardware in order to get the most detail. The app in the AppStore is about 50 bucks (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dash...321293183?mt=8), but I believe it's worth it in order to take the best care of my car. I am also eventually going to get wilwood high performance brakes and also tein coilover adjustable spring. What do you guys think? Am I taking the right steps?

For now im going to start with diagnostics and also find cheap low grip tires so i do not waste the grip on my already high grip rear tires. What do you guys think? Am I taking the right steps?
Um wow. First off please learn how to speak/type properly. Secondly you bought the wrong car for drifting. Third you should do some research on tuning these cars. The iPad app is not going to do anything except maybe replicate the gauges you already have. In fact before you do ANYTHING to the car you need to spend a lot of time learning about the car on these forums. There is a ton of incredible information on here so please please please before you ruin your car do some learning. Anyways welcome and good luck.

And I think you are taking the wrong steps.

amazing that many immediately think they need to modify their new car, cause they can make it better than the factory engineers.
Train the rock first, then modify.
welcome to the fold.

edit- i just read the part about buying "low grip tires"...I thought to myself "did i read that right?"
Lets all count how many s2000's have gone off the road backwards because of crappy ass tires. Dude, you've got to slow down and think about your decisions. You asked for advice so here it is...
You ARE going about this the wrong way. If you're obsessed with drifting, take your car to drift school and train the rock FIRST. You need to learn technique before you start making random changes to your new ride. Let me repeat, YOU ARE GOING ABOUT THIS THE WRONG WAY.
