Hello everyone. My name is tom. Just picked up my first s2000 last week. Such a fun car to drive. I have always wanted one and was very fortunate to be in a position to finally pick one up.

Its a 2001. Silverstone with red/black interior. Just about 100k on it. Has some minor mods. Overall its in pretty good shape. Most of my time has been spent on doing minor maintenance that had been neglected by the previous owners. So far i changed out the front calipers, pads, and rotors on both sides of the front. Changed the oil. Bleed the braking system and clutch. Next up is a front wheel bearing as i believe i have traced that down finally. I am currently experiencing notchy shifting and the occasional grind at high rpm's. So i will be doing a tranny and diff drain. Any recommendations on what fluid to go with?

Anyways, just wanted to say hello. There is so much great info on this forum. Which i know i will be using as i get this s2k back into top condition.

different schools on fluids.. some stay with factory and some go everywhere seeing what works best for them.. amsoil seems to be popular.. I use factory..

they just did a recent write up on notchie.. you'll search an find bout any and everything...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! Had the top down cruising today. Such a blast to drive this car.

Thanks for the suggestions on the fluid. I think i'm gonna try out amsoil as it seems to be very popular.

I don't have any more pics at the moment. Its been raining here all week. I'll try and get the car cleaned up this weekend and snap a few more.
