Default New s2k owner

I thought the MINI was the pinnacle of fun cars. and it is, only its the pinnacle of fwd cars. I picked up my MY03 Silverstone/black interior s2k yesterday. I love this thing, more so than when I bought the MINI.

So much fun! I have to go gas it up before class tonight, if you have any tips for me, since this is my first rwd car, please leave a message. I know about taking it easy and I still will until I'm comfortable with it.

PS I still love MINIs.

PSS But s2k's are better!

Did ya make it to class (walking?) But do you know where the release for the fuel door access is located... Check your owner's manual, Oh! but that's in the secret compartment. Welcome to the site and enjoy your new ride.

I knew where to look b/c of prior test drives. Its near the door jam on the inside. I didn't get an owner's manual though. I have to stop by the local dealership and pick one up. I've read of this secret compartment, its behind the spare right?

Those Mini S things sound like a sowing machine when the spooler starts going imo

And what you say is exactly what I noticed... It's FWD, where's the kick & fun? Understeer, quite some reactions in the steering wheel when getting the power down etc...

But I like those very (too) expensive little Mini-mini's

No match for the S, except almost for the price and the luggage space and room for the kids in the back

Mini's are nice, IMO. Love the interior/exterior, and all.
My girl friend is buying the new Mini Cooper S w/ turbo.
They're nice cars for sure, but not as fun as the S.
Enjoy the car!
