New S2k owner from AZ! LOTS-O-PICS!
Hey guys, my name is Chris and I am completely new to the S2k world. I have had my '00 Silverstone AP1 for a total of less than 72 hours and already let me say that I absolutely adore the thing!!!
A little about me...
As I said above, my name is Chris. I am 22 and I live in Scottsdale Arizona (Phoenix area) with my lovely wife. I attend ASU as an Engineering major, and I work at Autozone (unfortunately) as a very overqualified red shirt. It pays the bills and I get to talk cars everyday with new people so I can't complain too much.
The S2k is my 9th car and let me say that i'm pretty sure i'll be keeping her for a good long time.
My car history:
First car age 15.
1995.5 Honda Passport. (I know not really a true Honda, but the way I look at it, if they put there name on it it has to be good right? I thought so.)

It was fun. I thought I made it look cool with the wheels back then. Remember, I was 15. But I had that thing up until a year or so ago. It was a pretty special vehicle since my mom bought it new and then gave it to me when she got something else. So it was in perfect shape.

2003 Ford Focus ZX3 Motorsport Edition (As I called it. It had every add on possible, except it was a manual and had crank windows.)

Probably my all time favourite car I have owned. It was a blast, and this is when I started getting into cars seriously. In the end it had a FocusSport/VF Supercharger and made pretty good power. Just ended up getting farther and farther away from being a daily driver and I couldn't have that.

This was a fun car. I really liked it, but next to my Focus it handled like a container ship. Even after I dumped tons of money into suspension it still wasn't great. So on to bigger and better things.

Probably one of the worst decisions I have ever made was selling that truck. It was so fun, and we went everywhere in it. But it got 8 miles to the gallon and was for the most part my daily, so I had to sell it and get something I have always wanted... (but thats to come in a moment).

1993 Ford Escort GT (XR3i) (I bought this while I had the truck to try and save on gas, but the motor eventually blew so it went.)

This was a proper enthusiasts car. Rear disc brakes, proper coil over rear suspension. Wow, back in '93 this car was an awesome FastFord in the US.
But like all good things, this too came to an end.

2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR

I hate to look at these pictures because I miss this car so much. When we moved to Arizona it started to act strange and it didn't seem to like the heat. I got nervous about it breaking, so I sold it. I really wish I hadn't but I have the S2k now, so its ok.

I don't know why I bought this car and put coilovers on it. Honestly, I hated the stupid thing. It was all well that it only had 40k on the clock and was like brand new, but it was such a boring car and so gutless. Ugh, I shutter at the thought that I had an Evo MR before this awful thing.

2004 Audi S4

In true Audi/Vdub fashion this one went out with a bang (literally). After only owning it for a month the trans started to give out. It started to shift hard (tiptronic) and sporadic, the cam covers leaked so bad that oil would burn on the exhaust manifolds and cause smoke to come out from under the bonnet. It was awful. So I sold it.

And now we arrive to the brilliant work of simple engineering that is the S2k.

2000 Honda S2000

132,xxx miles. To me this doesn't seem like a problem. The car has been well maintained, always been in a garage. The top is 4 months old, (yes, plastic rear window
sadly) but it runs like a champ.
As you can see, I am currently living without a shop these days, or a garage much less. So if I have to work on anything is out there in the parking spot. However I am thinking that being a Honda it'll be just fine.
Thanks for look guys. I'm sorry if I've posted too many pictures, I just like it when I can scroll though a thread that's got a lot so I can see what's going on. I love pics I guess.
Anyway, thanks for having me on here and I can't wait to read up on everything S2k!
Cheers,
Chris
