New Utah Owner of AP1
Just put down some money towards a great AP1. 2002, 89K miles, SSM with matching OEM hardtop and all VIN stickers in place. The seats are in great condition. The previous owner I believe has posted on here before. No clutch buzz, soft top was in great condition with no rips or really any wear. I was even able to perform a compression check to verify 210 in all cylinders before I put the money down. And that was done above 4000' in elevation.
The only downsides were that it had a few chips in the paint, some clearcoat coming off just above the windshield and really only one door ding. I could not figure out why the clearcoat was coming off. Has anyone noticed this before?
I was able to get a great deal on it ($11K) because I was able to get the HT with it. The seller had someone pull up to look at it just after we made the deal and I was hoping that it wouldn't end up a bidding war.
I will pick up the car on Saturday! I am going to park it until winter is over and then start driving it.

By the time I picked it up and finished the paperwork, there wasn't enough light for any good pictures. Hoping to get some decent weather tomorrow.
I was texted by the previous owner about 2 hours before we met up to finish the deal and he asked if we were still on. He said he had offers for more money. Thank goodness he honored the agreement. There are some honest people around still. I had a similar experience a few years back. Glad I didn't cave, I honored my deal and it came full circle.
