Hello Guys, My name is glenn Im from North Carolina, Laurinburg 28352

Im 27.

and will soon have 7800 cash to throw at a used s2000. I have been around hondas for over 11 years come from a honda family i own 3 Honda Preludes and i have owned 11 preludes in my time. i wanted to finally grab my dream car with my chance to get one with a sudden little wad of cash... im familiar wiht h22s f22s b18s d16s and so on little on j30s like the accord....

i know jack shit on the f20c other than power specs...

i want to know everything there is about the models the motors the body whats problems they do or known for


what not to do what to do what to look for and not take...


i will be looking for.
no rust.
no wrecks.
no cut tops.
nice well kept paint.
no mre than 200k miles.
would love a hartop but softs ok.. thank you!! hoep to hear soon

Your requirements sound more like a $10-$12,000 car, easily.

Good luck, even the hooptie cars are advertised well above your budget. Even at the $12K range expect salvage titles, crap tires, rust, bad roofs, and buggered body work and suspensions. Hardtops are changing hands in the $3500 price range alone.

I may also add that come March/April the asking prices on S2000's seem to go up 15-20%.

I never met the guy personally, but I know of him.

I'm in a similar situation, except I'll be hanging out in the FI threads. The previous owner is a very cool and respectful guy, so whatever I can't learn on here I'm sure he'd be more than happy to teach me about my new ride. Welcome!
