Newb intro
(I posted this in teh alabama section as well, forgive my double post)
What's up guys, just thought I would introduce myself. My name is JD, im in B'ham. I do not have a S2000, but I am thinking of getting one. Right now ive got a 2004 VW R32, and 2003 Mitsu Evo VIII. I consider myself a true car enthusiast, i can appreciate the things that all different types of cars bring to the table. I recently had the chance to drive a AP2 all day and now im hooked, so im looking for a white ap2 w/ black interior. IM willing to travel within 1200 miles one way to get it, ill keep my eyes open here, and on other forums, but if any of you see anything, please let me know. Anyway, i just thought id introduce myself and see who all was local here to bham, i don't really see many S2K's here.

I have a lot of respect for anyone who appreciates every car for what they are. The S2000 isn't the fastest car ever, but it's a lot of fun and on summer days, it's definitely nice to drop the top. Good luck finding one
Thanks man. I know alot of people that speak badly about alot of different cars because they may not lay down the highest HP numbers, or have the bigger motors. To me, having a car that is balanced is what puts a smile of my face. The S2000 is so connected, i feel like im in a go cart w/ a nice interior and great build quality! I don wonder what it's like to drive all year round though.
Year round it isn't bad...it's just horrible in the snow. I'm 6'3 and I'm very comfortable. It's funny you own an EVO cause I had a 2004 STi before I decided to go with the S, and although I miss the power and torque...I wouldn't even think of going back to it. You're very right, it's like a go-kart...and even just with a set of springs on it, it handles absolutely amazing. A lot of fun, do it!!!
I had a 2002 WRX w/a FP green before the Evo. At times i miss that sound, i don't miss the transmission's i broke though :-P. The evo is quick, i havent had it on the dyno, but it consistantly is traping 109 in the quarter, the R32 is decent. Best so far is 13.4@ 102. I like it alot, it would be hard to get rid of it for the S2000, but i think i can do it. I just have to find that white one first lol

The irony continues...my first car (before the STi) was a WRX in Obsidian Black Pearl. No upgraded turbo or anything, but I miss that car a lot, mostly because it was my first. I always consider turbocharging my S, but it's so much money. But yeah, I would do the trade if I were you. The R32 is a very nice car, and a lot faster than its times show for...but you already have an AWD car that would blow it away. Get a convertible and have some fun

Back from the dead bwahahah. The R32 is sold, and the search for the S2000 is in progress..... The R32 grew to become the best, and most favorite car that i have owned. It's the only car i have ever owned that put a smile on my face every single day i had it, and it never left me stranded, but im sure the S2k can make up for it, though it is a completly different car.
Pic's becuase i miss the R at times
