Hi All

I have just bought a 2003 plate S2000, when I picked the car up the engine check light was on, I pointed this out to the garage who took it to be cleared, the car had just been serviced and had 2 x new coil packs, the garage said that the compression was down in one of the coils and would be ok once the compression was improved.

Is this correct ??? I have booked the car into Honda on Friday to have it checked out as the garage where I bought the car have said they will pay for a check up on the diagnostic machine.

Any advice would be appreciated. Russ

PS also when is it safe to take the car into Vtec mode as I pulled away from cold yesterday and it would not rev past 6000rpm ? after 5 mins and warmed up it was fine.

 

s2000 won't engage into vtec until its warmed up
