Hi my name is Mick currently thinkng about buying a S2000 and thought i would join up to get some advice.At present i own a rep TRD20000GT and a member of the MR2OC,been into Jap cars for around 30 years, no doubt some of you may have seen my car as it has been featured in Banzai,MR2 Only and Jap Performance.What i would like to know is what is the best model to go for and what to look out for when buying secondhand.Hope to come over to your stand and say hi at some of the big shows.Anyway thought i would post a pic of my pride and joy.

Welcome to the s2k community. I previously owned a 91 MR2 turbo and an 01 MR2 Spyder so I am also a fan of the MR2. You should find these links useful in answering your questions:

There isn't really a "best model" to buy, it just depends on what you personally like and the best idea is to test drive both generations (AP1 = first generation, AP2 = second generation) of the s2000 to see what suits you best. Personally, I chose the AP2 (2005 in New Formula Red to be specific) after test driving and reviewing all of the updates that were made for the AP2.
