Newbie from the E30 M3 world....
So after owning my e30 m3 for 8 years and dropping crap loads of money into it...its really not a practical car for me to drive regularly anymore....
So I've pretty much decided on an S2000 as my new second car (i will have another daily driver..probably an old wrangler)...i was decided before i drove the car, but having driven an 05 the other day...im pretty much hooked.
I'm going to be looking to pick up a White AP1 (01,02, or 03)....whatever i can find at a dealer and get with a pre-owned warranty. I love the white with red interior.
From reading this site for the past week...seems like the S2000 isnt that different from my M. High revving, noisy, peaky 4cyl....lightweight, tight chassis....a driver's car. The s2000 felt downright soft and civilized compared to the old M, but it still felt like it had potential. I couldnt beat on it too much with the salesman in the passenger seat.
Never had a convertible before...but seems like it wouldnt be too bad to have down here in FL....might need to pick up a hard top for the hurricane season
Anyway...I can't wait to get one...it probably wont be for a few months....I'm pretty specific on wanting a white car....and i havent seen many of them. I dont think I'll be doing as many mods as I did on the M...just some simple bolt-ons.
I've done all the work on my M myself...so i hope the honda isnt too tricky to work on...newer cars are a pain in the ass.
Thats my story...here's a couple pics of the old M in case anyone wanted to see it...

Thanks guys... 02 it is...
What color is the tan? is it a light tan color? or is like an ugly beige or dark tan?
The S2k i drove felt a little slower than my M...not much...a little more peaky than my M...much easier to drive...but it seemed a little bit slower...Maybe i just needed to get into it a little harder. Or maybe a few bolt ons would help.

Ive always loved the E30 M3! Ive owned 2 E36 M3's and both were fantastic cars.
Without the E30 M3, car like the S2000 wouldnt exist. One of the first high-revving 4 cylinder sports cars.
Are you selling the M3?

I dont think anything would ever replace that car to me. The S2k is great and all...but its still no E30 M3 in my book...sorry guys(i havent owned the s2k yet...but im pretty sure on this).
I'll totally restore it in teh future when i have another 20k to dump into it. For now its just going to sit
