Hello all,

New to the forum, but not to cars. To get to the point, in the near future, (hopefully by winter) I'll be pulling the trigger on a new car. It's boiling down to a couple options. Basically between an 05-06 STi or an AP2. Both are fantastic, however I'm leaning more towards the S because I'm finding them cheaper, stock, not beat up, and Lower miles in my area.

I'll probably be daily driving the car, but will try to get to the track as often as possible. I figure I'd keep the car simple with a hard top, wider wheels, and stickier rubber, and some coilovers. Well all opinions welcome, and some advise too. Thanks in advance.

Welcome...you've come to the right place for all things s2000. The comparo between sti and s2000 has been discussed alot.

Use the search feature and I'm sure you'll find more information than you can image.

Check the For Sale threads on s2ki for some great cars

s2000 and STI is a big decision. Good luck with what you decide.

Thanks everyone. Sat in an S last night. Didn't get to drive it, but it was nice. Very tight, but I'd get used to it.

I'm a larger guy and I figured that would be a problem for me as well. I drive mine everyday and go on long (hours) trips in the car and the only problem I have is a sticky back ! You will love the S!

I'd suggest some more test driving (as always). The STi and S are very different cars.

Update. I think im going to go with the STi. If i ever get another dedicated track car, it will probably be an s2000 though. Thanks for all the help throughout the forum. Tons of awesome info on here.
