Ive had my S2K for a month now and the best advise that I could give is what I stumbled upon by accedent. Take it to an empty parking lot late at night and spend 30 minutes feeling what the different throttle positions feel like along with the angle of the ass in relation to when you CAN'T bring it back. After that, you should be golden in recognizing what situation is what and how to react to it on the road!! Have fun and be safe.

The car isn't dangerous, its the driver that is.
the car doesnt jus spin out on its own, know its limitations and jus dont do anything stupid

There was a post of someone with an AP1 that had done 8 years of auto-X.

Was a "good" driver and knew the limits of his car.

Still spun out and wrecked one day.

All the experience and "care" in the world can't save you if your attention waxes even for a second. I'm not a good enough driver to be "perfect" all the time.

You can buy aftermarket traction control for AP1s for ~$1000 and install it yourself:

Find an empty wet parking lot and explore the limits and the feel when you push it too far. One I initially had to overcome was simply giving it MORE gas when the rear end starts to slip out and smoothly pull it back into line. Ubrupt lift off with oversteer, then late countersteering is a recipe for disaster.

Now... go do your homework and lets see some doughnuts

Keep your rear tread fresh, always be easy until the tires warm up and check the air pressure routinely especially with temp changes.

My first mod and best mod was a stiffer front sway bar. Huge difference. Helps a lot with the rear happy Ap1.

Also, ever since I nearly lost my life, I drive slow as hell in the rain. I'd rather be looked at for going slow then being looked at because i destroyed my car.

Also the AP1 does come with Traction Control. It's your left and right foot. But as time goes on you will learn that with moderation.

on turns or curves, stay out of vtec and be very gentle with the throttle and you`ll be fine.

It's not about driving slow. Because if you go slow like at 30mph in first gear it's still dangerous. A bump or pothole in the road can cause you to step in the gas and spin out. But if you were in a higher gear you won't put down as much power.
