Default noobie questions... 3krpm thicker line?

I noticed the 3k rpm line on the instrument cluster is thicher then the other lines. Is this a suggested shift point?

At what rpm does our cars lug in each gear??? SHould I always keep it above 3000 rpm??? seems high...

i havent noticed that. kinda interesting. what rpm you lug at in each gear will depend on alot of things. things like terrain, weather, and others have an affect on the power of the engine to pull through each gear. keeping it above 3k might seem high compared to other cars, but our cars rev alot higher than most, so its all proportional to the engine itself.

alot of people here will say you need to shift at 9k, lol

my advice to you is to shift were you like. i normally shift somewhere between 4k-6k while driving in the city, and most of the time shift a bit higher gettin on the freeway. just do what feels best to you, and be safe. this car can bite you in the ass if you abuse it.
