been a long time lurker, and now that my shytbox is finally on the road, figured i'd make a post.
intake and exhaust, haltech ecu... otherwise stock. '85 rx7 on coilovers, flares... buncha junk. awesome engine, bought my buddies '00 S2k that he totaled w/o insurance or registration so he was pretty SOL. got it for $1k with front and rear end damage, engine had 144k. yeah yeah i know freakin steal, he didnt have to ask me twice.
Parted it out for everything still good and i didnt need for about $1500... kept the engine and trans and some other bits
custom subframe, trans mounted up almost perfect, custom driveshaft. C101 is a dumb plug lol
had to bypass the VSS for vtec to kick in, built our own table for it on the haltech pro platinum.
since the rx7 has a inline fuel pump only, im running a bosch 044 pump. stock injectors.... planning to enjoy it for this year and go turbo next winter. i'll piece a kit together myself and try to keep it under $2500... custom manifold and the turbo are gonna be the most expensive points.
I just did a single conversion on my R32 GTR (PT6266) and i did this swap myself... we have almost every tool you can think of in my garage and both 4 and 2post lifts... so i think turbo-ing this guy next winter wont be a problem. my buddy is a damn good tuner and he tuned my gtr (around 540whp) and this guy last night... he'll tune it after the turbo is on. i'll probably go PT brand again for simplicity of oil cooled only - less lines (coolant), i like it.

Hope to be decently active here with engine performance. when i go turbo im only shooting for like 400-450whp. the car weighs ~2100lbs... so that should be more then enough.
Since you had the whole parts car I'm guessing you're using the S trans and differential?
im using the 6spd trans but not the diff. 1st gens have a live rear end, so it woulda been hard to retrofit the independent rear. im using the stock disc brake rear end with some 4.44 lsd gears in it. custom driveshaft
