Default Original 2000 ap1 in pristine condition

Hi guys,

I finally decided to convince a family member to sell me his original ap1 s2k. This car is truly in amazing condition. He kept it in a heated garage for 20 years and never drove the car. It has only 2k miles on it.

This week i plan on bringing it out of hibernation. Needs new tires, battery, and all fluids changed. Maybe a tune up too.

Thanks,
I am super excited to bring it back to life. My luck was that the first time i went to drive the car it had a dead battery.

I still have a lot of maintenance work to do. Other than changing all fluids and oils. What are some common wear items that break down over time.

Needs tires I'm sure.

Brake and clutch fluid. Engine coolant. And all the oil lubricants. Correct oil filter.

Anyone know what that (very non Original) induction system is supposed to do?

^^^^Looks like it is intended to bring cooler air from underneath the car.

The car is mainly original.

The previous owner did some light modifications to the air intake and borla cat back exhaust. But i have all of the original parts for it.

Great car. Worth a lot of money.
Consider putting the stock intake and exhaust back on. That is what I would do.
Enjoy.
