Picked up an 05 SSM/Black on Saturday!
Hello - I'm Ryan. I picked up a beautiful 2005 SSM/Black S2000 on Saturday 3/23. Pics below of course!
Car history is in my sig. I just sold an also beautiful 2008.5 VW GTI with APR Stage 1 tune, short shifter, aftermarket nav, and a few Euro goodies.
I had the GTI for 5 years and an awesome 52,300 miles, but it was time to make a move. I knew I wanted an S2000. I had since I was a 15 year old in 2000... Nevertheless, I shopped around to make sure I was set on the S.
Test Drive List:
I decided that the S2K window of opportunity was closing and the time to buy one was NOW! So I went on the hunt. I liked the AP2 and had a soft spot for the 05 due to drive-by-cable. I dislike bright colors (interior or exterior,) so my color options were limited.
I test drove a few way overpriced S2K's at dealerships, and I missed a few good private seller opportunities while I was waiting for my GTI to sell... Eventually I found an awesome Doctor who was selling his Silverstone/Black 05 with 28,600 miles on the clock. I arranged to go see it, had it checked out by a shop, and drove her home!

- 13 BRZ
- 12 GTI
- 12 Golf R
- 06 350Z vert
- 09 370Z coupe
- 04.5 G35 coupe w/6MT and sport package
- 12 Mustang 5.0
- 13 Genesis 3.8
- Tried to drive the Focus ST and was denied by the bitchy salespeople who said "It's like a Shelby - We don't let people test drive them." lol Let me drive 5.0 stang though?

Made the move from a 08 MKV GTI also man! havent regretted it since! just needed something different.
Where abouts in Jersey are you at? Im from Millburn and am currently down in Miami finishing up school. Planning on moving back up this summer after I finish.

Thanks! I grew up in the Livingston/East Hanover area.
I was super sad about selling my GTI but I haven't thought about it too much after trading up to the S2K
LOVED that car though. So well-designed and comfy. I may find myself in a Mk7 or 8 lol.
