Default Planning on getting an ap2

Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a silverstone ap2 by the fall. I was curious about some things I should look out for when buying an s2k. For example, one who's looking to buy an Audi or VW are cautious of the electronic components. Are there any notorious problems with the s2k I should look out for?

I bought a 2004 Sebring Silver ap2 last year.

I have only had 2 issues so far. The weather stripping or window seal on the drivers side started to come loose and leaks water when it rains. It falls off when I put the roof down. I would check just to make sure those arent loose.

The second thing I had was 2 weeks after I bought it, the carbon emmissions thing went bad towards the rear of the car. I guess there wasnt a way to really check for tht\at but I think it had to do with fuel vapor or something.

Good luck, I love mine!

I just went through the same process. I bought a car off eBay sight unseen but hired an inspector. I get the car in about a week. The owner did a great job of describing the car but I was still a little worried. Inspector showed up and said it was just as described. $149.00 well spent for the peace of mind. These are the guys I used www.lemonsquad.com . They hook a laptop up to the computer to check for early faults and most of their inspectors carry paint meters. For me it allowed me to open my search up. Check out this post for common issues. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/681...ons-1999-2009/

Samir I forgot to email you. I bid on the car you checked out in Ohio but was competing with someone with zero feedback... Well I lost the auction but found another 06 in TN and Negotiated with the owner and will be getting the car in a week. About 2 days after the auction ended on the car u checked out the owner called the say the bidder never came through with a purchase....
