Possible STI to S2K? Similar Owners?
So I know a lot of you go either s2k to sti, or sti to s2k. I have been pondering this idea for months now. Wondering if anyone regrets going to the s2k? Im running 500whp on my sti and always said I could never part with it but I am just getting to that point where I need something new....even after so much money spent on aftermarket turbos/tunes, etc.
This could just be my A.D.D kicking in I don't know. Just hoping to get opinions from those that end up picking up the s2k and getting rid of the sti. I cannot afford both. Ha. I wish.
With buying a used s2k it looks like I even can get some money on top for the sti so there is room for the turbo upgrade to the s2k
Hoping there is no flaming etc...just looking for some opinions cause I do not want to make a rash or bad decision. I have had quite a few people ask if I would sell my car so this idea became more realistic.
Thanks!

I have both a 2004 S2000 and 2005 STi and like both for very different reasons.
My S2000 is loud, drones like hell, rough, and just fun to blast through the turns with. I specifically bought the car to track, however, I do enjoy driving it on the street a lot. My STi, is clutch limited to 430whp/430wtq until I pull the motor this winter to stud it and put in a new clutch, but I enjoy driving a "normal" car in terms of space and practicality. My STi is extremely quiet until you open the wastegate (which will be routed back into the exhaust in the Spring), zero drone, and rides smoother (KWv1's).
With that said, I don't see how people daily S2000's. I couldn't not have it as a daily. It's reliable, but it's small and very focused as to what it's meant to do (drive the hell out of it). If I had just the S2000, would I miss the power the STi has? Yes, however, I have no desire to boost the S2000 because I like it in NA form with more focus on the nut behind the wheel.
With that said neither is my daily driver and when I actually replace my STi, it will likely be with an E90 M3.

I have driven one before, this was about two years ago. I am looking to get in to another one to drive again asap. I do have a secondary vehicle. I have a 2014 Subaru Forester which I use for cargo space and long trips....another reason I was looking in to purchasing a 2 seater. "Topend" you said you came from an sti.. did you buy an s2k with a turbo set up or did you end up boosting it?
