Me names Tom, 23 years old and I will be converting to the dark side soon!

Currently own this...







It's a vauxhall Astra coupe Turbo ( for the users on t'other side of pond ) Was running about 210bhp and 200ft lbs torque full of flames and goodness Enjoyed my ownership of it, but time to move on!

Anyway I am looking at getting an S2000 around the 2001-2002 mark soon ( obviously, why else would I be here )

I was wondering what are the common faults really? I've got an idea of a few.

Syncro crunching, Smoke on Vtec, timing chain rattle, something to do with driveshaft boots and having to swap them around if they start clicking.

Are there any other bits at all to know?

Good luck with your search...and what do you need with all those seats..don't they just invite passengers, who weigh the car down and comment on your driving?

 

Thanks very much, got my eye on an 02 plate GT model I think it is, Still don't know them fantastically, but I am assured they're a good car!

The room in the back of the coupe isn't fantastic, so no one really used to be in the back much Do enjoy driving her still, Was superb having a fully decatted 2.5" system from turbo back, made some superb sounds and flames too, just fancy a change now! so she is virtually back to being a standard, boring car now

 

So does anyone else have any advice? Or have I got all corners covered?
