Thanks everyone! I am really happy to be a member of the club - this site has so much great info. and these cars are very amazing! I've been "searching" a lot and learning about the S2K. I do have several questions - hopefully I might be able to get some of your great advice soon.

The next major purchase will be a set of new tyres. Those original Bridgestones are a little hard and don't grip so well.

Amazing find. I have a 2002 Sebring that I picked up for $14k with 55,000 miles (one owner)in Feb of this year. 4,000 is just ridiculous.
Like the other guy stated, it is not really a "barn find" unless you got it at a ridiculous price. So what did it run you?

I think u stepped on it by being at the right place at the right time. If the car was advertised to the general public with your description, it wouldve sold for full kbb and then some. U wouldve been an idiot to let that opp pass...beautiful car.

Is that a SC License tag I spy in the second picture? If so, come check out the Carolina's section if you are from the area! Either way, welcome, and congrats on your find!

Indeed it is - Upstate SC. Don't know where in SC you are, but if you are anywhere near the Upstate you need to visit Cars & Coffee on the fourth Saturday of the month. Some awesome cars show up.
