Default Pulled the trigger.

I pulled the trigger on the 2000 AP1 I had checked out last week. It's custom painted with chrysler srt8's red color. The car is missing the lights and bumpers. I am picking up my headlights tomorrow night and tail lights with bumpers on tuesday, hopefully evertyhing is installed by friday, then I will post new pics. car has a built motor with vtec killer cams that were custom made for learners permit by brian crower, not a fan of those, so I am looking for stock cams, think I may have found a set, and having those installed friday. Hopefully the car runs on the stock ecu at that point, then it's just a matter of tuning. Car currently has a carbon fiber hood and spoiler, not a huge fan of the hood, but the spoiler is pretty clean and matches the hood, so I may keep it. Long term plans are basically just chasis reinforcement, like an x brace, simple roll car, sway bars, etc. Then I'll move to the wheels and tires, probably some simple bolt ons, intake, itb's and cat delete probably some brian crower stage 2 cams. I am not planning on going turbo or supercharging it yet, I may sell this built motor, go back to a stock motor, then supercharge it at some point, but I am not there yet, I love the stock s2k, I think it's the most enjoyable stock car you can drive for under 80k out there, I have wanted one forever, and obviously couldn't be more excited to join your crew. This site is amazing, tons of info and great used part marketplace, I found everything I needed for very reasonable prices in less than a week, and everyone has been extremely friendly.

From there the plan is to sell the stock chrome wheels and get a set of cheap rota's or something until I save money for some rays. I'm pretty excited to get back in to the rwd game, I sold my 240sx 6 months ago and miss the feeling of feeling the power through the back wheels. I currently own and drive a mazdaspeed 3, only current mods on that are a cxracing fmic and koni yellows with a corksport test pipe, a stock 2002 jetta 1.8t and a little kia, my main daily driving 40mpg put put car.

Personally, I am not too good working on cars myself, but I have been in the tuning scene since I was 14, 15 years in all. I have modified every car I have ever owned, even by H.O. 4.6 liter jeep grand cherokee ran a 13.8 quarter mile with bolt ons. my history is

SA mazda rx7, 85 rx7 gsl-se rear end with lsd, 1990 fc turbo II motor and tranny, standalone ecu, enkei's, straight exahaust. 240whp in a 2000lb car was pretty fun.
1st gen turbo charged dohc dodge neon with a tech II turbo kit, fully bolted
the jeep grand cherokee 4.6 liter high output v8
chrysler srt-6
mazdaspeed 3, fully bolted with meth/water injection
1989 240sx hatch, redtop sr20det, fully bolted, full race suspension and supporting components, 260whp, 2300 lbs.
2002 jetta 1.8t, soon to be apr stage 2.

And now, a 2000 s2000, will be bolted and itb's with built motor by summer. I like the stock suspension, I don't see myself doing coilovers on it unless it struggles on the track. Just chasis reinforcement, as statement, I hate body roll.

Thanks, and I love this place so far. I'll be a pretty frequent poster, love talking a little shit and off topic stuff. Till then, thanks.
