Default Purchased a s2k tonight..

traded in my audi a4 for a leftover '05 model. Super fun car to drive so far. Question though, in the trunk, there are 4 "strakes" with instructions. They basically look like mini mudflaps. They are black hard plastic. Are these necessary to install and what do they do? I can't wait for some nice weather!

Picture of my stock sebring...nothing everyone hasn't already seen before:

Congrats on the fine car! Great color too......although the slightly darker one is a tad faster. You'll get much enjoyment out of that car!

Odd that the strakes aren't on your car.... are these the pieces that go in front of your tires but are otherwise under the body? If so, I'd have the dealer install them as they help with stability.

yep...thats what they are. Looks like they go on all 4 corners, atleast from the directions. Are they supposed to be factory installed? It was just in my trunk along with the soft-top cover (i don't know the technical name) for when it's down, and also some long piece of clear rubber tubing.

Those things should have been on the car before you took delivery. It's the dealer's responsibility to ensure they are installed correctly. I always thought they come from the factory with them installed.
