A Re-Introduction!
Hello S2KI!
15 years ago, I parted with my AP1 S2000 due to other domestic obligations that were a priority at the time. The car was particularly special as it was one of 48 special edition Spa Yellow cars in Canada. One day, I will take the time to post my love affair with the "SSM" which started way back in 1995. I lamented the sale of my S, which to this day, I claim is the most enjoyable and rewarding driver's car in recent history. Despite having made my last post on S2KI some 13 years ago, (I was quite active in the community at the time) my affinity to and loyalty to the S2000 has remained steadfast over the years.
Fast forward to a couple of short weeks ago, I came across a very clean looking Silverstone MY00 AP1 in British Columbia. One owner from new, the vehicle is unmodified, lower mileage (91,000KM or about 56K miles), all original with a full dealer service history. I have placed a deposit on the vehicle and am flying out to Vancouver Island to pick her up this weekend if all goes to plan.
Looking forward to being part of this community again. Obligatory pics to follow if the sale goes as expected!
Cheers,
Asif

Have fun. Hope the car works out.
Looks like a very interesting albeit long drive in the mountains! Shortest route is roughly 1100km (650miles) but Google Maps puts it at 13 hours. Was a routine one day drive -- when I was 25.

Ahhh, you're not 25 anymore either!
Concur on the covered transport.
Covered trailer is how I moved my S2000 from Cleveland OH to Richmond VA. Came over the baby-sized mountains here but the car benefited from lack of stone chips and windshield damage inside the trailer.

Hey VTEXTC/Asif, curious about your comment "one of 48 special edition Spa Yellow cars in Canada". Where did you learn that tidbit? Would you happen to know how many '01 Monte Carlo Blue cars were sold in Canada?
Are Canadian sales documented at all? There's an accepted list of US sales by color but I've not seen any data for other markets. Nor have I seen details on any differences beteen the US and CDN models other than the obvious DRLs what have been required in Canada for decades and a larger windshield washer fluid bottle.
