Default Ready to buy, is this a good deal?

I have been looking throughout TX for a Laguna Blue S2k with fairly low milage and am shooting for $20K.
I found this one2006 S2K
What would be a reasonable price, as I think 22388 is a little high.
I already have a mechanic who can do a compression/leakdown test.
Anything else?

BTW great to be on here and hopefully driving the S soon

For the miles on it the price is about right. Maybe send him a message saying straight out what you are willing to give.

Thanks for the opinion. It was an off lease car the dealership picked up at auction.
Guess I will have to see how low they will go. I also need to get down there to inspect it and take it for a check on the mechanicals (leakdown/compression)

Yea, I'd say that's about right on the pricing but if you can get them down further then by all means!

Find out what they paid at auction (or what the going auction rate is)...the info is out there. Then offer $2k more...they'll counter, but stick to your offer. You will come away with a deal.

I'm thinking you could get away at $18k easy...$17k really working them over for hours with patience. You have to figure out what $$ they have in the car.

Good luck!

Deal fell through on the 06 I was looking at.
SO
There is an 08 with 4200 miles at a dealer in Austin. They are asking 28XXX. Seems high for 2 years even though the mileage is really low.
Any thoughts?

too high in my opinion. If you are still budgeting $20k...an '08 with 4200mi will be tough to buy that low.

08's w/ 10k+ miles seem to go for 24-25k.

an 06 w/ 20-30k miles seem to go for 18-19k these days. i would also look at the classifieds here...a lot of 06's and 07's for a good price.
