Default Rob Robinette Says Hello

I've been registered for a while but haven't introduced myself until now. I bought an 01 S2000 last year and absolutely love the car. I even talked my girlfriend into buying a new 06 S last year.

My previous sports car was a new 93 3rd generation RX-7. My old RX-7 website, http://www.robrobinette.com detailed all the work I did to the car. I kept it until the Summer of 2000.

So far I've only upgraded the front brakes and opened the air box on the S, but I just ordered a set of PSS9 coilovers, a Comptech adjustable sway bar, and the bump steer kit to prep it for track duty. I live about 15 minutes from Summit Point Raceway so I'm going to do the Friday at The Track events this Spring. I've done many track days there on my GSXR-1000 sportbike but I've never had a car on the track.

I'm very impressed with this site and all the helpful contributers. I'll be asking for advice and just want to say thanks in advance.

OMG. Your FD website is legendary. Did you sell the 7? Should I sell mine for an s2k. I'm thinking of waiting for the future vw mid engine sports car with DSG.

mibad,

I love the 3rd gen RX-7 but I've always wanted a sharp, light, powerful roadster and the S2000 is perfect for me. Enjoy your FD because you can't go wrong with either of these cars.

I echo this!! I remember it clearly when I had my '93 R1 back ~1996 (old listserv days)... (man, has it been that long?!?!!) with my terrible memory, this is a big deal!

Welcome, Rob. Your RX-7 website was a great resource to me when I was a FD owner. I moved from a '93 Montego Blue Touring (my second FD) to an '01 Spa S2000. I'm on my second S2000 now, an '05 Silverstone.
