Welcome, I also made the switch from a FD to a S. Check my intro thread for pics of mine.

In the end, I was just sick of the gas mileage and doing more wrenching than driving. I was having an issue with the secondary not boosting fully, I searched up and down and hadn't found the problem yet when I sold it. I could've went single, but it wasn't feasible with my situation. Though I do miss it, I really enjoy the simplicity of the S2000 and really loving the care-free driving.

Thanks guys! I actually already traded in this 05 for a 07 NFR. The 05 had a previous accident (which I was aware of) but after trying to get it aligned I realized how tweaked it was. So I searched and found a 07 that had come up from GA, and went and traded in the 05. Here's a pic of the new new s2000:

The car is pretty much just for autox and sunny days right now, my wife and I already have daily drivers. Maybe towards the end of the year we'll try and get out on a track, but it really depends on if we can find the time.

Nice thread, not sure how I missed that one

For those that are interested, here's my best run of the day at autocross yesterday. I ended up mid pack because it was COLD and I was struggling to get a good balance with the car and tires. The new s2000 doesn't have sticky tires either, so it was all about finding traction.

Have you heard of Modifry Windscreen Camera Mount?

If you Google you can find video's of it being used.

Welcome Kanundra. Congrats on the purchase.

I sold my FD in 2011 out of frustration. The car RAN fine, but it always needed something. Ball joints, pillow balls, bushings, wiring harness, 5th gear synchro. It was one item after another with that car. Then I sold my RX-8 6 months later because the motor was tired and limping by 150k and I simply didn't like the car enough to go through a rebuild or mods. Bought the S2k in January of this year and, drumroll please.... It's a nice car, but it's no FD. I'm now in the market for another FD, though I don't plan on selling the S2k any time soon.

Ya they're different cars for sure. I plan to get another FD, but not for another couple years.

Agreed x1000, the FD is a one of a kind car, nearly nothing matches the overall package it offers. But I too got a little frustrated with neediness. I'd like to own another, but it'd have to be something low mileage and preferably already have the reliable mods done by someone reputable.

So far though I like being able to drive the S2000 hard and not worry a out temps and etc.
