grab that $34k OTD

put 39 miles on my new 07 today, the trip meter read 39.4 had a bunch of Honey Do's to do and prep for the taxman on Tuesday so I could not drive it very much.
nice.

the only problem was that it had close to 200 on the Odometer.
They had the color I was looking for, but way too many miles.

most likely too many miles, most people test drive these toys at the redline, I test drove a 06 Silver one with 45 miles on it and the dealer/salesguy with me on the test drive told me to take it to the redline, motor was not even hot yet. I made sure the one I purchased still was wrapped up, as a matter of fact I un-wrapped it

let me know what dealership you went to. I am from Socal, and look forward to purchasing the vehicle next week.

I have a friend who is a salesperson, and the way they treat the cars is really nor pretty. . The s2000 I test drove today needed some cosmetic work, as it had missing paint in multiple places.

Thanks for the help

Santa Barbara Honda

My cheapest quote was from Scott Robinson Honda in Torrance but the internet guy did not inspire confidence, he did not know what colors are available, he had a Magnesium one, claimed that is a new color for 07 then he said it has splash guards already on the car, but even adding the $130 for the splash guards he was the cheapest. Problem is Magnesium is not a S2000 color (pretty sure he meant Silverstone) and splash guards are not a option, when I told him this, he still claimed he had the S I was looking for, so even though he was by far the cheapest I did not drive the 110 miles to see the car.

DCH Oxnard and Thousand Oaks Honda were the next cheapest, Lompoc Honda was 3rd. I had a total of 8 quotes, one dealer even wanted MSRP + $2k markup for it being a special car, weird huge price range.

SB Honda nearly matched the Oxnard and T.O. quotes, close enough that I went for it since they are local to me. In the end I paid a little more but the dealer is less than 2 miles from me and I am happy.

We're selling ours @ $32,000 OTD. In TX though. All colors but yellow in stock, and we don't let anyone rev it past 5K on test drives.

Wow that's awesome... at that price, it might even be worth it to fly over and drive that sucker home by the time you reach norcal, you'd already be through with the break-in

If you live outside of TX you would only pay $29,891 + the $50 doc. fee You pay Taxes when you register the vehicle in your state.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread. I received an online quote for a new 2007 s2000 for $30,643 before TTL. I believe the price includes destination. The email says "Prices are plus $550 destination $399 documentation, $28 title application and $3 GA Lemon Law." Anyways, i'm wondering if this is a good price point to start off with and i'm wondering how much more bargaining room you guys think I have. What price should I settle with if that's the intial quote? Anyways, I still have to check out the car in person and see how many miles are on it. Does anybody else have good experiences with dealerships in Atlanta? Thanks in advance guys...

hmm seems like i'm not very good at bargaining. i got $31k +ttl for an 06 suzuka, ended up going with an 07 laguna for $32k +ttl.
