Default So happy to be back in an S2000.

It's nice to be back in an S2000.

Back in 2006 I purchased a used 2001 AP1 which i had for about 4 years until I got married and was expecting my first child. At the time the S2000 was my only car and since the wife had a coupe of her own we opted to sell my AP1. I ended up selling my AP1 and soon purchased a used 2006 Lancer Evolution IX. The Evo filled the void and offered 4 doors, AWD, Turbo, back seats and more power. A friend of mine purchased an 06 AP2 and i took it for a spin.... that one spin hooked me back into the S2000. The wife opposed the idea at first but she eventually gave in.

So i started my search in the beginning of the summer. I wanted a low mileage 2006+ AP2 preferably white with tan interior. To be honest i would've had more luck finding unicorns but i did find 2 cars that fit my criteria. The first had over 80k miles and the interior needed work, the 2nd had everything i wanted but the seller wouldn't budge from their $28k price tag.

Fast forward to last week a friend gave me a heads up on a 2008 Laguna Blue AP2. I was dead set on white but the blue really grew on me. I made my way to the Dealership to take a look. To my surprise she turned out to be cleaner than i had anticipated. Car had 51k miles on the odometer and the interior was in great shape.... to top it off it came equipped with the OEM hardtop.

We worked out the numbers and finalized the deal. According to the finance manager their were 3 others with serious inquiries on the car so I jumped on the deal quickly.

It's great to be back in an S2000. I love my Evo and i'll probably keep her forever but the S2000 filled that void that the Evo could never occupy.

Had to get the Lip today.... Thanks to rockstar garage for sourcing the OEM lip and for the clean install.

Glad you back in the game. That '08 is beautiful. And to top it off with OEM lip kit and hardtop just makes it that much sweeter. Nice pick up.

Thanks Mike!

Glad to be back. It's nice having options deciding which car to take to work.

Great find. And a great color !

I'm biased because I have the same car, w/o the front lip and hard top.

I had an '05 NFR that I absolutely loved. But bought the LBP '08 new and all I can say is that the color really is quite amazing !

Good luck and drive safe !!!

Beautiful laguna blue!

There's a reason why you couldn't find a white 06+ with the tan interior - they don't exist
