Sold my C6! Looking for a S2K
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a new fun car and top of the list is an S2000. The Vette was great but its time to move on. Hopefully you guys can help me with my search for the right S2k.
See you around, Apex

Why did I sell the my C6. I guess for several reasons. The Vette was an awesome car. The performance level was extremely high. from a numbers standpoint, power to weight, acceleration, lateral g's, track times you really cant beat a C6 for the price.
All that being said, for me being a car enthusiast is about satisfaction from behind the wheel. Part of the reason was financial, I just have less and less time for a fun car. So having a lot (relative) of money tied up in a car just sitting there didn't make much sense. But there is another reason, while the C6 had great performance it drove and felt like a bigger car. Like it was heavier than it really was, and the chassis, while very stiff, was not good about communication. You just had to learn to trust the car. I want something fun to drive, with usable performance. The Vette's limits were so high that pushing the car on public roads was crazy. Not that an S2k isn't fast, but I think it is more usable on the street. During the time I had my C6, I drove cars like a Lotus Elise and FRS. I loved the fact I could just jump in those cars and feel comfortable at 9/10ths...the fun factor was there. Of course I longed for more power but overall I think balance is more important.
Back when I bought the Vette, I cross shopped it against a S2k and it was second on my list. I backed away from it because I am not a "convertible guy". One thing the vette taught me was that I liked open top motoring.
So the vette is gone and I would like to take half the money and throw it into an S2000. This car will be a weekend/track car. So I want something nice but high mileage and some wear do not scare me. I will take an AP1 or AP2 but I do want an 02 or up. Modded will be considered too. thanks

One of the common complaints about the Vette & other GM cars is the steering has a vague feel to it.Add to that the terrible seats and it can be discomforting.
As of yet,I have not driven a new 2014 'Ray,but will at Road Atlanta in the fall.Should be fun.

I don't know how close you are to Florida but there is a grey 06 for sale at Pensacola Honda with 37000 on the clock for $18,900. I haven't seen the car in person but based on the milage and year alone, it's the best deal I've come across since the weather got warm.

Welcome. I just got my S a couple weeks ago - too much fun! There's a few great deals on boosted cars here for sale. A couple with hardtops last time I looked. Don't know which C6 you had, but these cars might be faster. Half the torque, but probably more horses. Good luck with your search.
