I should have made this thread a while back but I'm mike1juliet and I live in Upstate New York. When I started looking for S2000's, I made a huge checklist compilation between the Savagegeese buyers guide and various posts on here. I was looking a long time for a mint one but almost every one I came across that was advertised as stock wasn't actually and many people just didn't know anything about the car they were selling. The most notable ones were people saying "never seen winter" but the undersides were covered in surface rust.
This guy had 30,000 original miles and was truly untouched. The previous owner actually had service records dating back many years. After I took ownership I immediately had it looked over by a local detailer called The Shop Automotive Detailing in Rotterdam New York. They hooked me up with PPF and Ceramic coating and I couldn't be happier. Since then I've put maybe 2500 miles on it and I've loved every one of them.

Mike, your car looks great, but you might want to lose your track day ambitions. The paint on the S is pretty thin; my Berlina has developed a mild case of race rash from stuff thrown up on track.

Lovely car OP.
You have me wondering about ceramic.
I could do a better job on the detailing aspects of owning a low mileage s2k. (By this I mean that I am not very good about keeping up with detailing my cars).
Something to think about.

When I got the car the paint was rather dull and full of swirls, the previous owner seemed to be a fan of bath towels. The ceramic was definitely worth it IMO. I blew my stimulus check on a full ceramic and PPF on the front third of the car. Unless the dust is sitting right on top the hood, everything else falls right off. The PPF has already saved me a number of rock chips on the highway as the underlying paint is completely untouched.
