That and just be aware of your surroundings. It's tough with the top up.

I readjust my mirror outward a bit more with the top up. Glad it's not just me wondering about that.

Yeah that was the first and only issue I've ever had with the S.

I move the mirrors out when the top is up (takes what 2 seconds...) and just try and beware of what was and is around me. Your fairly safe though trusting the mirrors as the car is short and nimble.

That said you still need to shoulder check a little.

This eliminated most of the blindspots on my driver side. I also adjusted the mirrors all the way out on the passenger side so I can barely see the sides of my car.

definately get convex mirrors, i bought mine from itg (check sponsors) for $60. easy installation, and they're tinted blue. you could also get spoon convex mirrors for a little bit more. i did this first week after i got my car and it eliminated all my blind spots.

+1 for the convex mirrors. You wonder how you ever drove without them. The blue "Glare filter" is a bonus if you can get those.

Ditto the Muz mirrors. I got it and it's fantastic. And Muz's service is second to none!

Besides adjusting the mirror, I also quickly stick my head up and look back (outwards) through the side window.

When I am shoulder checking on the other side, I just look out the back window.
