Change that rear diff fluid and aslong as you're under the car you might as well do the tranmission too since its very easy to get at and never hurts to keep the fluid fresh.

I recomend LE607 in the rear diff and Honda MTF works fine for me in the tranny.

Check that airfilter too and make sure it hasn't gotten too dirty. If it needs replacement look at the washable ones offerred by AFE, they are similar to K&N but of superior quality and better design.

You have the last year they made the S2000 with a 2 liter, 9,000 rpm red line. I might be prejudice here, (mines an 03 as well) but IMO it's the best year for this car. All of the little problems with the 00 to 02 models were addressed and corrected or improved on. Only year with 2 liter engine and glass rear window.

Now as to the stuff to watch - check the oil at every gas fill, make sure you read the owners manual and for an added measure, make sure you know all the reccomended fluid changes, service dates, etc. If the dealer or seller can't verify/certify that the service was done, consider taking to a Honda dealer and having all service points checked/maintained. It won't cast much and will give you peace of mind.

Congts on the purchase "03 S2000" Best of the best!

Watch out for drunk drivers. They tend to smash into '03s

I thought they started the glass rear window in 02....but I could be wrong.

My buddies is a 02, and he has the glass.

No pics yet? I'd make sure you have good tireson it - dealers sometimes put cheap tires on used cars. Make sure you have something at least equivilant to the Bridgestone S03s or RE050s. Only other thing is make sure there are no spacers (black bricks)in the suspension springs, and the rear wheels are in fact on the rear axle.
