Default thinking of buying

hey there. im currently thinking of getting rid of my excellent rx8... yes, it is excellent, although, i would like to have above 18mpg on my avergae journeys. Came across a nice s2000 today in the new red, 2007, with front and year spolier, 2500 miles approx... and was very tempted to change. but as i know nothing about them or what if any problems there are... i decided to come on here. all info is appreciated. also what type of money should i expect to pay?

whats does worry me though is i invest in this and honda release a new model in a years time and i loose a fortune. having had this happen with the rx8 already i dont fancy it a seconf time.

all your help and advice is greatly appreciated!

thanks

steven

2009 is the last model year so you don't have to really worry about them releasing a new model

I'd say that car is worth about 25k. No problems with the S2000 other than having to replace the soft top sooner or later.

Good luck and I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in.

You'll be happy with the reliability...it's a Honda. Not really any problems to speak of for that age/mileage. Tops do wear out and split...that's probably the worst. Fuel mileage is a ton better than the RX8 too...most get 22-24mpg city and 29-31mpg hwy.

And like someone mentioned, 09 is the last year. Based on what we've heard, it's not likely there will be a replacement anytime soon. Honda is going back to a focus on fuel efficient cars during the economic downturn. They've even suspended the new NSX development.

MMM.PWR is probably right...$24-25k is about right.

haha... good to see theres a sense of humour on here anyway. i do like how my original post was edited... however... i do love my rx8 dearly and it will be sad to part with the girl. we have had such fun... and she has cost me so much pain and heartache at the same time!

anyways, all being well i have her sold... and am very tempted by the s2000.. glad to hear theres not a new version. keeps it unique.

one other thing, having only been on a test drive i didnt fully notice, is there a lot of wind noise from the hood (up) when driving motorways?

....new red ...mmm, thought it was called something like that..

It's definitely noisier. You'll have to bring up the volume a lot more in the S when driving on the highway than on another car. But that doesn't take away from the car in the least.

And the color is New Formula Red
