thinking of getting an s2k and selling the TT
What are your priorities in your next car?
The S2000 is not about status, luxury or comfort. But if you're looking for the funnest* car to drive for under $35k, a car that will deliver you to your destination with a smile on your face and beg you to take the long way home, a scalpel to slice through traffic, and knowing you're driving one of the best kept secrets of the automotive world, you can't do better than the S2000.
*it's so much fun, I had to make up a new word.

I have commuted to work (20 minutes) on nice weather days, and it works fine. But my S and I get very frustrated in stop and go traffic and getting stuck behind dump trucks throwing gravel at us as they hit each expansion joint in the expressway. We were meant for each other on wide open, lightly traveled, country roads with lots of S turns. If that's what you mean by daily driving, you'll be just fine in your new S!
I looked at and drove a TT Quattro Roadster before I found my S. It felt smaller inside, and kind've, sloppy I guess-- could've just been the one I was driving.
Anyhow... I commute 60 miles a day. Recently I just drove from Nor Cal to SF to Norcal to WA to Norcal in one weekend. (About 2000 miles) Longest continuous stint driving was about 10 hours; I felt less sore than I have in a great many sedans going shorter distances.
I've had it about 3 months and put nearly 12,000 miles on it. Couldn't be happier!
Buy the S, you won't regret it.

I use my S2000 for my daily driver as for i am young and have a hard enough time paying for a S2000 let alone a "Winter beater" and i live in the Cleveland area and work at a Ski resort. Yes, you will slip from time to time in the snow, but as long as you keep your right foot tamed you should do fine. Also dont try to pull off winter driving with "all season" tires. I use bridgestone blizzack ws-50's and have no complaints. Ive also used LM-22's on my buddies car, both do fine in the winter. I love driving on the turnpike in a snowstorm and passing fwd cars who were stuck or went off the road, actually i dont love it (that would be mean), it just makes me feel good. As for anything else on the car my only complaint is the weak sound system on the earlier models. 15 watt speakers? Replaced with sony Xplode 250 watt 4 ways, and a 400 watt amp
and good to go.
The WS-50s are the right tires for your winter use, CarGuy. I have the LM-22s on my S, and they're not as good in snow. They're compliant in winter (and probably better in the dry), but with stuff on the ground the WS-50s are best.
my arm constantly hits the cup holder door so it pops open. Sun visors don't swing out to block the side windows.
Thats all I can think of right now!.. Also, I would get white if I were you
