Default Thrilled to be a new S2000 owner

Hi All,

Excited to be here. I picked up my first S2000 yesterday—a black 2008 with 99k on the odometer. All 10 vin tags, interior perfect except for seat wear (but no rips), a long history of dealer services at appropriate intervals. Fishbowl in the trunk, but no swampy smell after pumping it out, so it wasn’t there too long—probably from heavy rains a couple of weeks ago.

Had an awesome first drive over Hecker Pass and up the coast with the top down (I’m in Santa Cruz county, California). This thing is a go-kart with license plates!!

Looking forward to being part of the community here, and to lots more driving.

Oh, and I know the Ford Store license plate holder’s got to go!

I got my 2009 Rio Yellow with 31K miles ten years ago from a Ford dealer in Phoenix. I was the second owner. The first owner had some cardiac issue (found the paper work in the secret compartment) and his family had the Ford outfit sell the car. The original Honda dealer was just down the street.

Glad you are in Santa Cruz as black can be hell in a hot climate like Sacramento!

Great car indeed!

Looks much better with the front license plate off. I had my one week anniversary yesterday—I’ve driven the car every day I’ve had it so far. What a blast!!

Looks like great fun, wish someone here in the Carolinas would do one!
