From Tib to S2K
After totaling my tiburon, I decided to upgrade a bit. I bought a 2002 silver s2000 with a cold air intake and mono steering wheel. This is the first car I've owned that was a manual so I'm having a little trouble getting used to it. It's has 115,000 miles on it. Pretty much perfect condition. Just need a new antenna. I would like to supercharge it in the future.
I just bought my S2000 a little over two weeks ago and much like the Mcrolla, I too am coming from a Tiburon. My girlfriend and I have a fleet of vehicles ('10 Jetta, '99 Ram 2500, '04 Tiburon, '14 Altima, '99 Passat - she hates my auto-addiction but its my only vice) In regard to driving stick, however, I am coming from the other side, since I was daily driving a '99 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD 5 spd. I nearly put my foot through the floor when I depressed the clutch for the first time in my S. Best clutch/gearbox combo I've ever driven.
Congrats on your purchase
Which Silver do you have? Silverstone Metallic or Sebring Silver Metallic?

Move the seat closer! Pedal needs to be able to be depressed all the way to the floor. Use that as a seat positioning aid. Rake of the seat will get you closer/farther from the steering wheel. Sorry, that's all the adjustments we get with these cars!
When I got my '06 a year ago I asked here about shift rpms for normal driving and 4300 rpm was recommended. After making sure this wasn't just sending the "new guy" off to find a left handed wrench or similar I started using. Works well. Try it, it'll make your shifts smoother. Little fly wheel effect on the engines and the rpm drop instantly when you let off the gas and depress the clutch.
