Although you'd really enjoy an s2k (as long as space wasn't a factor), you just bought another car....Your Si has alot of potential...And by trading in you would probably get a semi-high mileage s2000 for a trade...If I were you I would keep the car you just bought. I'm definitely a fan of the Si lineage and with the new k20z3 power plant it'll respond well to many quality modifications. If modding is your thing, remember parts are considerably cheaper for a civic than an s2000.

Your biggest problem is the fact that you just bought the SI. You're going to take a major beating on trying to sell/trade the car. On an average 5 year loan, you need to keep the car 2 years to break even vs what you owe.

Basically, you ditch the SI now you will loose a ton of money.

The new SI's are hot little cars man, I'd keep it for a couple of years and then decide. And as Munnerlyn said, you can mod the crap out of the car for a fraction of what it costs on the s2k.

Keep it. While all of us love our S2k's, you have a nice little powerplant. The K20 is like the F20's lil brother. Mod it and you will likey!

Civic Sis are nice, but at the end of the day, it's still a ubiquitous Civic, there are zillions of them everywhere...the S2K is a little unique

and the FD RX-7 trumps both in every category

yea this is true i do see tons of civic's all over the place and i never see s2k's except for mine lol.. the only thing that really pissed me off/ scared the crap outta me was the DBW in the si. i would be pulling out of an intersection and hitting the gas to go and it wouldnt respond and would scare the crap outta me as cars were coming at me. the rev hang was really annoying too even after i had the car flashed from honda when they had the tsb out for 06's.But even though my 08 s2k dbw it has no hang/delay or anything. it feels like im driving cable throttle again. which i love. and besides i ended up leasing this car at a really low monthy rate, also i really dont keep cars more then 3+ years. so who knows what will be out when i go to give back the S...... if i do lol cause i really love this car

Gotta give details on the Si son if you are looking to trade.

I had an 06 Si, and now an 04 S2k. Both awesome cars, I say keep the Si for a yr or two then trade it. they hold their value well, just not with a car so new.

If you conveniently forget reliability. ...and not that it's at the top of the list for these cars but fuel efficiency as well.

It's all in the tuning. FD engines blow up because dumb kids slap exhaust upgrades on them without updrading the ECU/fuel injectors, etc. My car has been stone reliable at 15 psi (heavily modded) for three years now, in fact I just got back from a 300 mile road trip (and I got 24 mpg)
