S2000 is the new baby in the bunch 
That said, the 911 Carrera S is one hell of a fine sportscar too! Have fun with whatever car you choose every day! I have the choice between a BMW 525 series diesel, a new Ford Focus type II or the S2000... Not a difficult choice, the S2000 very quickly became the daily driver

I test drove a 330Ci a while back while shopping for an s2k. The sales guy offered it as an alternative to the s2k (I had never driven an s2k yet at the time). Now, after having driven several S2k's, all I can say is:
Alternative my ass!
The 330 was very nice inside and out, and decently quick, but had nowhere near the feeling of an S. I'm going for go-kartiness, not luxury.
