Hi everyone. Firstly like to thank everyone for such a great forum learnt loads. I've owned a ctr ep3 for 3 years now and want something faster. So the obvious step up would be an s2000 however recently i found the rx8. They are speced out better heated leather bose sat nav what not than the s2000 and as quick as an m3 e46 round the top gear test track so why did you guys pick the s2k as I can honestly see no advantage apart from convertible?

If you think a sports car needs heated seats and navigation then maybe the S2000 isn’t for you.

I never considered an RX8.
Couldn’t get past the hideous exterior.

actually the time for the S2000 around the track could have been faster, as a matter fact there is a -6 sec adjustment for very wet track runs, so the adjusted time for the s2000 around the track is 131.4 secs .4 faster than the rx8.

Sometimes the rx8's look nice, but they lack in the motor department.

1> reliability and reputation of honda
2> I don't need a backseat nor want rear doors
3> rotary engine...thumbsdown.

Drive both cars back to back, you'll see why we bought the s2k and would recommend you make the same move, unless you need a backseat for kids.

Good Luck
