Default Upcoming AP2 Purchase

Hi! Thanks for this forum's existence! So far, the forum topics I've read have convinced me that I should buy an AP2. I drove a red '06 today and really liked the car! I don't think I'll be buying that exact car for price and cosmetic reasons, but will be looking for an early AP2.

Several things come to mind.
1) Is it as important to get a compression and leakdown test on an AP2?
2) Anything else specific that I should be looking for?
3) At 5'10" and long-waisted, headroom is a little tight. What solutions are there? Lower rails? Different seat?
4) Is there more or less headroom with a hardtop?

Thanks, in advance!

The taller guys seem to fit fine in the s2000, but to answer your question, yes you can purchase a lower seat rail for the OEM or aftermarket seats. Good luck with your upcoming purchase.

ap2's are pretty stout, but I would still do a compression test and pay attention to tranny/diff noise to see if there may be issues with them on the vehicle.

Welcome!!
Im 6'3" plenty of headroom
I do have some issues with the top of the windshield though in small intersections its hard for me to see the light if Im in the front of the line but Im going to lower my OEM driver seat though
The hardtop doesnt make any difference with headroom.
Post back with some pics when you purchase!
