Default Wannabee s2Ker here

Hello all, thank you for the wealth of s2k information and advice here! I'll be purchasing within the next four weeks or so, assuming I can find the right car. I'm hoping to find Berlina black, 2004-2006, <35K miles, <$20K.

Are my expectations reasonable?

Definitely reasonable, at least in my region-New England....

One of the MA dealers just sold a new 2007 (136 miles) Berlina for $23900.

As the weather gets nicer though, prices have historically always gone up; not sure if we'll see that trend this year but I'm not sure I would wait if the right one comes along...

I hear ya. I'm trying to time the car purchase with my daughter's 16th birthday - I get the s2k, she gets my 2003 Element.

I've about got my down payment money together, so maybe I should be ready to pull the trigger when I find one...

I paid 17500 OTD for my 05 NFR w/ 41k miles on it in October of 08.

Your biggest difference in price will probably be from the 05-06. 04 and 05 can be found cheap and most are coming off of lease.

My advise is don't be impulsive. Wait to get the car you really want.

thanks all! That's encouraging news.
I tend to be a little too impulsive when purchasing most things, but I'm determined to hold out for the s2K I want.

Update: Getting closer...
I'm doing the paperwork on this one today. If all goes well, I should be legit in a couple of weeks.
